Contact the Independent Assessor for a mental health assessment for your child if:
- Your child would like Medicaid and your household earns between 185-300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Your child already has Medicaid and you would like to access respite services paid by Medicaid
- You are unsure if your child will qualify for Medicaid because of income eligibility requirements, but would like access to the YES system of care through the Children’s Mental Health program.
Note: A youth is not required to go to the Independent Assessor unless they are applying for Medicaid with a household income between 185-300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or the youth needs access to Medicaid paid respite.
